Our staff

Our Canteen is operated by Lucassen Catering who are a local family run business.

Shaye and her team, use local produce to provide healthy housemade lunches and snacks for our students. The menu meets the Healthy School Canteen Strategy, with over 90% of the items classified as every day foods.

Placing a lunch order:

• Lunch orders need to be written on a paper bag that is large enough to accommodate the items ordered. An envelope with the order written on it will be accepted but there is a 10c fee for the lunch bag to supply the child's order.
• Once the lunch bag is written up, place the money in the lunch bag. Correct money is appreciated but change will be returned inside the lunch bag.
• The lunch order is to be placed in the class lunch basket In the morning when your child enters the classroom.
• The basket is then brought to the Canteen by the class lunch monitors.
• Lunches are made up and prior to lunch the lunch monitors return to collect the basket and deliver back to the classroom.
• Canteen is only open for lunch so provision needs to be made by parents/carers for their child's Recess.  

NB. Lunch order bags can be sealed with tape but in consideration of WHS, please do not staple.

• The Canteen is open to students during lunch only - 5 days.
• As well as ordering lunch, students can also purchase food over the counter from the Canteen at lunch time (second half). Please keep in mind that second half of lunch is after the students have already had their allocated time to sit and eat lunch and have been dismissed for play. Not all menu items are available for purchase over the counter (refer attached menu for what is available).

This wonderful service was introduced to KPS mid 2017 and users have found it to be a very quick and practical way to order lunches - for both parents and the Canteen staff.

Hours of operation are Monday to Friday 9-12.30.
