Chess is one of co-curricular offerings at KPS. Children in Stages Two and Three have the option of joining the chess club, where competitions are held weekly on Fridays during lunch time in the library 'in season'. Each week's winners are collected to form an ever changing school team who compete in interschool events at various locations.
Involvement in the out of school competitions generally requires the support of parents and carers with transport and supervision
