Staff and students are thrilled to have a designated Science Room in action.
We are grateful for the financial support of our generous P&C. What was a damp, dark former storage area has been transformed into a bright and useful space for our students. A coat of paint, new tables, chairs and a comfy floor cushions make the room inviting and functional. The recent addition of an airbrushed mural has added even more to the environment of the room.
In addition to a wide range of opportunities in STEM, our school is using the Primary Connections units, which were written by the Australian Academy of Science. These units have a strong literacy element and a focus on practical activities, which are very engaging for students. Throughout the year students will investigate the four strands of biological, chemical, physical, and Earth and Space science.
